Unanswered PS4 Questions?

I still have a few questions about the PS4 I would like conformation on...

Game Sharing?

Any updates on this? I know games will be tied to accounts (Like they are now) but can I sign in with my brothers account and download a game to my PS4 like I can on my PS3?

Cross Game Chat

If I use this during an online game over using the chat in game, will this grant me privacy? Will all other players be muted and I will be muted to them?

Any clarification would be most helpful.

Are you talking about digital purchases? Sony haven't clarified, but it wouldn't surprise me to see 2 activations per purchase like it is on PS3/PSP/Vita now.

No idea, we haven't seen any examples of it in use on a PS4, and the Vita doesn't have any (?) games that have native voice chat that isn't tied to Cross-Game Party Chat.

That policy is different on PS4. Akin to the model many proper digital distributors like steam use, you do not have a set limit of PS4s you can use, and you can download games on those systems, but you must be online on that system (with the exception of the main "home console" where anyone can play the games you downloaded on that system).

Hm, so it sounds like you designate one PS4 as your primary console, and anyone can access your content on that machine. In addition, any console you're logged in on can access your content as well.

Sounds similar to what the Xbox 360 uses, actually.

If I'm watching Netflex on the ps4, can I plug my headphone (any brand) on the controller and listen to audio from there?

I'm pretty sure this has already been answered, but I'm just checking!

It's a standard headphone jack, so almost all will work, even the mics for the ones that have it.

Couldn't my buddy just log in onto his system with my username and password then and play all of my games? Sony wouldn't want that would they?

They really need to clarify and draw a hard line on this subject so that there is no pirating. But at the same time be able to access your stuff from someone else's machine. I can't see how they can do both though. It's a tough situation.

I personally would never let any one mooch off of me as I work hard for my money and my games. But I know there is a ton of people who would take advantage of this by sharing passwords.

Well if you can only access games not on the "home" PS4 when you're logged in, then as soon as you sign in, you'd kick your buddy off (and vice versa).

I imagine that alone we put the kibosh on it. So if I have a PS4 in the living room and bedroom (like I do with the PS3) it sounds like I would need to set up logins for my wife and daughter. If my daughter was playing a game in the living room (the home PS4) I'd need her on her login so that when I log into the bedroom PS4 I don't boot her off the network.

To be honest that's not too different than how playing DCUO on the PS3 works now. I had to set both PS3s to sign in as different user IDs and not the same automatically as I had them both set to me and the wife would turn on netflix in the bedroom and sign in as me accidentially and boot me from DCUO.

If anything other than the main PS4 requires the download owner to be signed into that specific PS4, I image that will keep thing under control pretty easily. I don't see people being that quick to share user ids in that world.

For game sharing, from what I recall, it's not possible with the PS4, because what they emphasize now is only being able to sign into the account and playing on that account, but not being able to download from their list.

As for cross game chat, it should give you privacy, since you'll make a room with only people you want to talk to before/during your game.
