I'm glad to see Scorpion getting good press outside of Blu-ray.com. They are doing wonderful work. In my opinion, their catalogue titles are usually better than what we see from the big studios.
My copy of THE MONSTER CLUB shipped a few hours ago and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. (Too bad it's coming from ImportCDs...may not be here until after Halloween!). |

Picture and sound quality are excellent. I may have a slightly warped copy as it made one hell of a racket for a few seconds when it went into my Oppo. Locked to Region A.

I believe the Kino version is just a reissue of the Scorpion version. Scorpion has a distribution deal with Kino on some of the titles (they've also been collaborating on titles but releasing them under the Kino banner with Scorpion handling extras).

I didn't know there even was another version of this... but I did a Vincent Price marathon and thought "I'll finally watch this one... I'm saving it for last" but I fell asleep with the menu on. Not a good sign. lol.

That's John Bolton's art for the cover of a promotional comic for the film. A thousand copies were printed and you'll be lucky to find one now but the comic was reprinted in Halls of Horror magazine, issue 25. The art was also used for the UK quad poster and Bolton's drawings are used in the Humgoo story

hmmm, there shouldnt be another version of this, this must be a mistake, plus that front art is a no-no from the licensor or it was never printed

It seems this release has skyrocketed in value. It's only been OOP for a couple years, but keeps going up in price, so I'm kinda glad I got it when I did ($40 on eBay a year or so ago). I just got around to opening it last night and finally watching it after having it sit on the shelf since I bought it. I love this film, and haven't seen it in what must have been years. It holds up so well, and is a such a fun movie. Should be a yearly Halloween tradition.

Region B edition dirt cheap quite often, though doesn't have the extras.

Glad I picked this up in October 2013 when it was originally released. Can't believe its worth 10x what I originally paid for it.
The film is an annual favorite in October during my month long Halloween horror film festival. |
