Nice! Love this label. High-quality transfers, diverse catalog but with a unified sensibility, reasonable prices, and fun bonus swag if you order from them direct.

Wake In Fright, Trailer War, Band Called Death, Act of Killing, and Miami Connection are all very different titles but excellent in their own ways.

Looking forward to Ms. 45! Glad they got the rights.

I wish they would release more films like Miami Connection.

Default Alamo Drafthouse Cinema?

Hey folks,

Just wondering if anybody has been buying/collecting the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema line of blu-rays? I was checking out their website and noticed they had a subscription plan (which mentions some "special bonuses"---anybody know what those are?). I'm thinking about taking the plunge but thought I'd check in with my savvy fellow collectors first.

So any thoughts on their products? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Btw, I meant to mention that I do own two of their blus---I was impressed with one (The Visitor) and less so with the other (Ambassador). But I'm hoping to hear comments on the line as a whole.

I'm a big fan of their stuff, their diversity is impressive. Here's a recent thread dedicated to the Alamo line.

It's called DRAFTHOUSE FILMS, and the subscription plan, DRAFTHOUSE ALLIANCE, is great. Not all of the films are perfect (although a shockingly high percentage are), but they all present a full-blooded perspective far outside the mainstream. It's like the Criterion Collection's dirty little brother.

My Ms 45 disc is in transit. I had trouble navigating the Web site to order it. I ended up following a direct link from the film's topic here.

Has anybody gotten a copy of Roar yet? I just went to Amazon to order and they have a "warning" up that says they're investigating reports of a problem with it.

btw, if anybody does get it I made a custom cover to match the regular Drafthouse Films releases, if you're interested.

Do drafthouse films have a history of coming with reversible cover art or slips? Because this is one of the ugliest covers I have seen: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017RO...1949296&sr=8-1

always, the only exception are when it's released by somebody else. Olive release of Four Lions, or the releases for Roar and ABCs of Death.

here is the reverse cover
