Default 25 Days Of Christmas Movies (2013)

1st Annual 25 Days Of Christmas Movies!

Based off the success of the 31 Days Of Horror and after talking to the mods here I have decided to go forward with the 1st Annual 25 Days Of Christmas Movies. We will see how this goes and possibly continue this every year.

Since this is holiday based the goal here is to watch 25 holiday/Christmas themed movies starting Dec.1st leading up to Christmas (we know holidays can be busy so watch as little or as many movies as you like). I am starting this early as well so feel free to start your holiday movies anytime and please give feedback etc on this new event here.

Every time you watch a movie, make your post and give a rating and your thoughts on it. This should get everyone into the Christmas spirit and give us movie buffs ideas on movies we may not have seen. Please keep your thoughts generic and if you post spoilers, use the spoiler tags. The movies don't have to be on blu-ray.

Happy Holidays And Enjoy Everyone!!!!

Ratings:
- Epic Disaster; one of the worst out there
- Tad under average (2.5 would make it an average viewing)
- Above average
- Great Highly Recommended
- Masterpiece!; one of the best

Great idea and count me in!

Question, do holiday specials count (Charlie Brown, Grinch, etc?) or do they have to be full length films?

I've been trying to stock up, but I can't find any places that have any good Christmas Blu-Rays for sale in store. Guess I'll just have to start ordering stuff from online.

1. Deck The Halls: 1/2 (A contrived and silly Christmas film that is saved by the main performances of Matthew Broderick and Danny DeVito.)

Was really excited to get this started because I just absolutely love Christmas movies. Anyways, the kick-off:

(*) - First Time Viewing

12/1/13

Christmas with the Kranks -
I don't understand all the hate for this movie. Sure it's not perfect in any sense. But it sure is funny in many parts and sweet in others with good performances by both Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. Watching it today, though, I have one big fault with this movie. It's not sure of which side to choose as right. The couple just wanting to get away and having to deal with crazy neighbors or that same couple (particularly Luther) being full of himself and only looking out for himself. Other than that, I enjoy this one.
