Yeah..makes me DEFINTELY thinking of upgrading from my 4th gen iPad to an iPad with 3D capabilities. Man..the applications and possibilities they could do with 3D incorporated into iPhones/iPads....makes me .

I would upgrade to the mini with 3D capabilities. I like the size and weight of the mini vs the bigger iPad,imo.

Mini definitely has a leg up in terms of size and weight but wouldn't the regular sized iPad be better in terms of 3D effectiveness?
3D probably means there'll probably be an increase in weight like there was when the Retina display was introduced in iPad 3.

Apple is supposedly working on 3D cameras and screens too.

Admittedly cool tech, but I don't think it will amount to Iphones and Ipads with 3D screens, because they would have to use the same glasses free tech. The 3D phones they made a few years ago made a splash and then vanished, nobodies made one since then. Ditto glasses free 3d laptops. Really the only thing still viable that has a portable 3D screen is the 3DS, and Nintendo has even been downplaying that aspect lately as well.

Not that aren't a lot of cool other things you could do with the senor, of course - there are tons of possibilities. But a sudden portable 3d screen revolution is not going to be one of them.

You could just get the EyeFly 3D screen protector for the 4s, 5, or 5s. They also have one for the Air coming out on the 7th of this month. I've heard they do a pretty good job.
