Default The Best of Bogart Collection (3/25/14)

Very dissapointing! No Key Largo, The Big Sleep etc.

This stinks. I already have all of these titles. Still waiting on Key Largo, The Big Sleep, and Sahara.

I already own all of these titles, and the individual Blu-rays are all excellent in terms of both film content and presentation.

If you do not already have these titles, however, then this box set will probably be a good inexpensive chance to give them a shot.

This is Warner, they weren't going to put brand new titles in here..You guys should know their M.O. by now.

You mean like the Friday the 13th, Elm Street, etc. box sets
That have each had 4+ films hitting BD for the first time?

Your point being? If you know anything about Warner, you'd know they're the kings of re-releases. and a Best of Bogart collection would no doubt only contain existing releases. It is their M.O. just as I said, a few exceptions doesn't change that.

You would think that they'd release some of his other films that aren't already available on standalone. For example: In A Lonely Place, Sabrina, etc.

(The Big Sleep has already been announced for an early release next year)

I guess they're not considered Bogart's best.

A Bogart/Bacall set would be a natural. WB did it already on DVD but it would be a great upgrade.

Big Sleep
Key Largo
Dark Passage
To Have and Have Not

In the meantime, I'd settle for upgrades for Big Sleep, High Sierra and They Drive By Night.

Perfect set for me...the only one I own is Casablanca, but I own the old 2008 release and not the 2012 version that got the 4k scan.

Since I own these titles already I have to pass but for those who don't own these, grab it !
I wish Warner would release other titles besides the same old movies (Old not in the meaning of like 1930/40s) there are dozens of movies (the gangster sets, the noir sets) that could be tapped into. Release something different please
They are like the King of double and triple dip !

I have this set and mine is a four-disc flipper with NO stacked discs. It's pathetic that WB cheapened out on later copies.

Hm, when did you get yours? That video was posted 3 weeks after the set came out so it's unlikely they changed it between release date and then. Perhaps they switched to trays later?

Hmm, got mine in December, so that's even more odd.

It's possible they switched to flipper trays then. We'll need some more people to chime in on how theirs is packaged and when they bought it

Oh, if that's the case it would be great.
Maybe they switched after people complained?

One other guy here with video posted 1 month after release, has the stacked discs as well:

Amazon is price-matching WalMart with $24.96 right now. Not that this will ever show up at my local WalMart...
