Pacific Rim Steelbook Walmart Exclusive?! - Blu-ray Forum

I was fumbling around the Walmart web site and found this.

I don't know if its real or not. I haven't seen anything about it anywhere else. I ordered one just to see if it is truly a steelbook.

That was never in the store. There was an exclusive with same artwork in stores with bonus content, but it was just a different slipcover.

you sure about that ? the sizes are different so a steel could be legit

I don't know about the U.S., but the Target here in Canada had the amaray case and slipcover with the same (exclusive) artwork (the colouring is more vibrant than shown on the walmart website); it was NOT JUST a slipcover.

The JB exclusive is a Metalpak, like the Sanity X-men First Class Metalpak. I don't like Metalpak.

Looks nice but way too expensive for fancy packaging. Even if I didn't have PR already, I still wouldn't buy it at that price.

i can order it (put it in my cart) but i also get in store pick up earliest date at all stores near or around me is 1-10-14 so, it might be legit, who knows?

I got a shipment confirmation and tracking number for site to store. Supposed to arrive on 1/8. We'll see what actually shows up.

To each his own. Many people like having the various release for a film. I for one collect the various versions of the Batman films e.g. The Dark Knight. I say buy what makes you happy.

Why not. If you enjoyed the film and want to, do it.

If this does turn out to be a SB then I'm all for it. I have the UK one and wanted to CDN but didn't get it in time. I'll all for the US getting as well.
