If they tried to stick Harryhausen stop motion in a modern day film, it would be laughable. its amazing how people will bash lifelike cgi as so fake looking, but will overlook how completely unconvncing stop motion looks. fine for its time, but that time is looooong past

oh, im not defending this film. I'm just saying that yes, Harryhausen stop motion was fine for those earlier films, but could not be used in a modern film in anything other than an intentionally comedic way.
