I rented the movie on LoveFilm, so I have some experience of the 3D. It is, at times, a bit odd, considering it is hand-drawn animation being turned 3D. Yet, at times, I can occasionally find some round-ness here and there.
Not really a 'make it or break it', but it would be a loss to some of the 3D-conscious, considering how effectively it's used, surprisingly. Also, that 10-minute recap is actually the intro of the English version of the film. It was also stuck on as an extra on the Manga UK disc, despite its prescience in the film itself. Another thing that seems to be omitted is the 30-second trailer. Not a big loss, but still. I would definetly consider the UK release of said film to be a purchase. However, if this was the UK release, I would rather spend my funds elsewhere, leaving it little more than a rental. (To note, the UK release of Bonds Beyond Time only mentions it's 3D on the disc menu itself. The packaging and disc label eschew all mentions of 3D, but the disc content does include a 3D version) |

This is something I wasn't expecting, well that and it getting released on Blu in the first place. I've never been big into Yu-Gi-Oh, it's a guilty pleasure if anything, but I am totally willing to support this release to get a series that normally never gets subbed home video releases outside of Japan.

![]() Though hopefully it won't end up in the same fate. But it looks like the original Yu-Gi-Oh! is only going to be released in manga form like how it was shown on Viz Media's Shonen Jump magazine version. |
