1983 is a Malayalam sports drama directed by fashion photographer Abrid Shine, who has written the story and co-written the script with Bipin Chandran. A family drama that revolves around cricket, it centres on the character Rameshan played by Nivin Pauly and his memories from 1983 when India won its first World Cup under Kapil Dev to 2013. Anoop Menon plays Vijay Menon, who was once a noted Ranji Trophy player and is now a brilliant coach. Joy Mathew, Srinda Ashab, Rajeev Pillai, Jacob Gregory, Saiju Kurup, Shine Tom Chacko, Dinesh and Sanju, make up the rest of 1983’s team.Nikki Galrani is the heroine.1983 was produced under the banner of Shams Films. Pradeesh Varma cranked the camera and music director was Gopi Sunder.1983 received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and excited support from the audience. The film was praised for its realistic portrayal, and is regarded as one of the best films released in recent times.

This was a great movie. I have the HD version via Amazon Instant Video and also the DVD.
