4K restoration of Patrice Chereau's masterpiece, Queen Margot, is set to be released on Blu-ray on August 26th.

where's the news? any more info?

(I just wish Criterion had released that, but again it's great news!)

edit: I just saw it's coming from Cohen Media Group.
Is it a good company? I haven't got anything from them.

Although, if it will be identical with the French release, I will prefer the French digibook which won't have that big red C all over the cover.

Cohen are very good. I have been very impressed with every Blu Ray and DVD I have purchased from them.

I watched my copy of Cohen's release of this today and I highly enjoyed this film.

That massacre scene about 45 minutes in is brutal, and the music that is playing while it's happening totally sets it off. After the scene finished I had to rewind it and watch it again.

Like it says on the back cover this release, the performances in this film are passionate. I was especially impressed with Jean-Hugues Anglade who plays King Charles IX. The nuances of all the emotion he displayed floored me. And it obviously goes without saying that Adjani is top notch in this film as well.

This film is excellent and I look forward to future rewatches.

Had never head of this movie until just now while browsing Target's site and trying to put together one more order during their B2G1F sale. So thanks guys, you indirectly convinced me to order this. I hate movies set in the old days. Will that be a problem?
