Default Every movie in the world.

Do you suppose there is a collector who owns every movie ever made? Any collectors wanting to achieve that status?

It'd be impossible to have a copy of every film ever made. Thousands have been destroyed over time due to lack of preservation or old studios burning down. Otherwise, I'm sure some people own tens of thousands of films, but it'd be impossible to own every single release given all the low-budget, one off releases.

There should be some website to track the leaders in this dept. I guess the winner would be someone that either speaks a lot of languages or buys videos from other countries without knowing the language. There are plenty without English subs.

I think the foreign country with the most English-subtitled dvds is India. They have loads and loads of English-subbed dvds from all different areas of India as well. So to be the winner, one may have to own a lot of crummy Indian movies to be the champion.

Wonder what would define a movie in this case?

What about home movies ... no?

What about made for TV movies ... no?

What about all kinds of Anime? ... Bollywood? ... P0rn movies?... Workout vids? Infomertial type stuff? ... Recodings and broadcasts of sporting events?..

Maybe just stuff that made it theaters ... not even direct to video releases?

It's a remarkable silly thought from the start really. I remember how much I used to LOVE dvds ... and they are so many types of things on DVD I could never watch. So many,.. it's too many to imagine really.
