United Kingdom LOTR EE DVD Box Set Issue

I purchased this in 2009, mainly for FOTR. This was a couple of years before I purchased my first BD player and titles.

I finally got round to watching FOTR last night, and the annoying thing of it, is the writer's credits kept appearing on the upper part of the display every 2-3 minutes. This has never been a problem with TT or ROTK.

Very odd problem here, and essentially makes film unwatchable.

Has anyone noticed this before?

It almost sounds like you have a screener copy. They usual say 'Property of' or 'Screener Copy' at regular intervals. It might be worth just buying the BD if you don't have it!

Thanks for the information.

This is the strangest problem I've had with DVD. As you indicated, it's probably a screener that was overlooked by QA during production.

Reckon I'll eventually get the BD, as I like FOTR significantly more that the rest of the lot.

It's a shame, as unless you have the extended Blu-rays FotR has the worst PQ of the three. It's not shockingly bad but compared to the others it's very disappointing.
