United Kingdom Batman 1966 Tv Series

Id prefer a Uk release instead of importing from USA because of duty taxes. Any realistic chance of a UK version?

POW!

Yes, given they can just copy the US masters there's a fairly big possibility. But don't necessarily expect Italian audio and subs, especially if it is a direct port of the US release.

I dont mind about the subs,I just hope its not 1 of those releases that comes a whole year after the USA release.

I wouldn't assume who owns the rights, but I highly doubt they'd do a deal just for America...

I hope they do release it here... but I have a friend from the US coming to visit in November so I'll get her to bring me my copy over if it's not

I would imagine they would try and hit on the Christmas market on these shores as well.

I think there's a good chance of this happening. I live in norway and i found this today: http://cdon.no/film/batman_-_the_com...-ray)-27703510
Even though it's only a placeholder it wasn't there some weeks ago, so i suspect that they will release it in other countries than the US.

I'd imagine it will get a release here but probably cheaper than the States and with very basic packaging rather than a the bells-and-whistles boxes they'll get.

The USA preorders started today. I would say if we dont see a UK preorder in the next 2 weeks its not looking good.

Do you have a link so we can guess pricepoints?

I'm curious about two things:

When the paper slip comes off, is the box art underneath free of BBFC certificates?

And do the discs include all of the relevant titles? WB UK sets have a tendency to leave off the film/TV title (see Superman, Elm Street, etc).

Once you remove the slip, there's no certificates anywhere on the packaging. It really is just the US box with a bit of paper on it.

Do you mean on the discs themselves? There's no mention of the episodes on the labels. Just season 1, disc 1 etc.

That sounds good re: the outer box.

I didn't expect episode titles on the discs but if the "Batman" title and season/disc numbers are there, then I'm happy.

I assume the BBFC certs are printed on the discs?

Sorry for sounding anal. Was going to import but seems like the UK box is worthy of consideration :-)

Thanks!

Mine's just arrived and everything is identical to the US set, other than UK classification symbols on it, which are just sticks.

And on the discs themselves presumably?

Not bothered about UV either. I buy blu-ray to watch something big and glorious. Not some tiny sized version on a mobile device :-)

Really impressed with this. Really nicely packaged, nice big sturdy box.

I know there were some concerns about how the Batmobile would be packaged, especially with the see-through section. But it's all very nicely done. And the sound effect button was a nice surprise!

My only wish is that the scrapbook was a bit more substantive. But apart from that, it's a fantastic set!

My only wish is that the scrapbook was a bit more substantive, and the Batgirl short is a glaring omission. But apart from that, it's a fantastic set!
Have you checked the section rarities from the vault, batgirl short should be there.
