- What were the other two releases mentioned aside from CHRISTINE and FRIGHT NIGHT?
- The other two haven't been mentioned but one will be the brand new 4 k restoration of journey to the center of the Earth.
Do you think the 4K could be better? Is it always such the case?

I think the first disc was from a 4k master.

Yeah, I seem to remember reading that when it was released.

I was under the impression that Fright Night came from a 4k scan already.

Interesting. I have the original and I can definitely see how it could be improved upon so I'll almost certainly be picking up this release. Funny enough, the fact that it was autographed on the case itself (an annoyance) might actually be helpful in this case. I can just swap the art and the disc over. Thanks, Pat Boone!

Do you think it would be safe to sell this before the release of the new Blu-ray?
I have it (haven't watched it yet), but I was thinking of selling it now in anticipation of the 4k restoration..

I guessed right. Of all the re-releases upcoming, this was most deserving of a new 4K resto. Should be a night and day difference from the old TT disc

So, there's no fear of this being de-grained in this 4K release?

Anything's possible, but coming from a 4K scan vs an old dated master, there should be way more detail.. I have to imagine since they decided to invest in a new restoration, that they wouldn't screw it up with a whole lot of digital tampering, but I guess you never know nowadays.

I think that I'm going to hold on to my copy until I have the new version in hand, but that's just me. Even after the new release, I'm sure I'll be able to get most of my purchase price back on it when I sell. I've sold way too many old/ridiculously out-of-date DVDs to discount the idea that there is truly a buyer for everything. On the other hand, if you're looking to pocket an extra $30-$100 over the original price, now is probably the time to sell.

Well, I already placed an ad in sites, but no I'm not looking to benefit from the price.
I thought this:
-if the new 4K restoration is good, then all's well, I'll buy that one.
-if it isn't and it's worse, then all's well again, this wasn't a Blu-ray I NEEDED to have badly anyway..

Awesome news. I love hearing people saying they are glad that they didn't pick up previous releases. It's like they always knew something like this would happen.

Sounds good. I will try and pick up this one for sure.

I hope that Fright Night is one of the re-releases... that was funny the way that person asked about the releases.

I'm having trouble confirming this. Is there really a 4K restoration of JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH and TT is going to release it? I'm finding it a little hard to believe.

It is happening, but why exactly are you finding it hard to believe?
