Default The Nutty Professor (1963) vs. The Nutty Professor (1996)

I grew up with the remake and didn't see the orignal with Jerry Lewis until much later. Anyway to summarize I think the remake was less classy and clever with a focus on toilet humor and sexual innuendo but it was also a lot more heartfelt and entertaining with a far more sympathetic likeable protagonist. To me the 1996 film is the better more re-watchable one.

I enjoyed the 1960s version but I like the Eddie Murphy one better.
