This is the game that will save the Wii U, I can't wait to play as Little Mac. What are you guys most excited for in Smash?

Back in 2002-2004 we played Smash into the ground almost every weekend.

Those days are long gone, but I hope to have some fun with the new one. I'll try to get almost all the prizes for sure.

They do but its basically one on one with ai bots. The wii version had a small adventure mode, that I found to be some fun.

Played the original but never got into any of them. These games and Powerstone (for Dreamcast) never clicked with me.

That being said, you can pre-order the Amiibo at Amazon now for $12.99 each and if you register the 3ds and WiiU Smash Brothers you get a CD package for free. Only good in NA and EU.

Its going to be cool to see how the Amiibo interacts with the Wii U, I dont plan on getting a ton of them but I got to have the Mario one. Also, with Mario Kart 8 adding substantial DLC its interesting to see if Smash will get DLC as well.

I believe Amiibo are capable of having data written to them. I imagine for Smash theyll have an rpg lite type of stat system you can save to your figure and import on a friends system.

I got a question about amiibo. Do they give you an advantage when using your character compared to using the default character in the game?

Played for a little over an hour. Gotta say that I am a little underwhelmed.

Not sure what it is, but I wasn't having the blast of a time that I expected I would.

It's probably because I haven't played a Smash game in like 6 years and it'll just take some time to get back in to it (hopefully).

I will say that I think Smash Tour is quite lame and boring. Subspace Emissary was much more fun.

Ike, Lucario and Falco are still my preferred characters so far.

Charizard was ok, not a fan of Greninja as I'm more of a power character than speed character player (hence Falco over Fox), Little Mac seems quite good as I've read but I'm not really good with him and Mega Man is ok.

When all is said and done I quite expect to stick with my old main three

I bought this pretty much when it came out and I think I've probably one played it about 10 times. I'm getting really bored of them now. The family starts playing and everyone loves it for around an hour, then "meh". Not sure if it's my age or that all reboots feel the same

Same here, niece loves it for awhile, then gets bored and wants to go back to Mariokart

Just can't get into it

Reminds of when my local arcade banned Akuma from being used in the Strett Fighter III: 2nd Impact tournament. It was the right call.

Damn, is Bayonetta really that good? lol I haven't had a chance to really play competitively against other skilled players as her, and while I do see a lot of her strengths, she also has plenty of weaknesses IMO.

Im almost up to 500 tropies on mine, I've been playing it off and on since christmas next payday I may sink a few quid and pick up the N64 and Melee stage packs

An Amazon product page that went live too soon has provided a first look at the previously announced $100 bundle that will include a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, a special-edition GameCube controller, and the adapter you'll need to make it work.
