Default MISTER ED - Complete Series - 12-9-14 - SHOUT FACTORY

http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Mister-...e-Series/20243

HOPING SHOUT fixes the stupid errors from season 1 - the edited episodes - ITUNES & TVLAND had the unedited ones,

SO SHOUT has NO EXCUSE not to fix them, other than laziness, stupidity and/or not caring... ie the craptastic way they used video not film elements for HAZEL.

Shout Factory has added the following to the product page:
"All Season 1 episodes are presented in full-length for the first time in this set."

Can someone who has the Mister Ed The Complete Series DVD set confirm for me if the DVDs are Dual Layer or Single Layer?

I bought the Mister Ed The Complete Series DVD set off E-Bay and checked the DVDs in my computers DVD Rom drive and they are 4.51 GB which tells me they are single layer. I think the set might be a bootleg and I'd like to confirm it. If it is a bootleg I'll need to notify Paypal.

Shout's DVD release of the series Mister Ed, on and off, I've been thinking about getting. At least it was one of the series they actually completed.

Enjoyed this show as a little kid through Nickelodeon's "Nick at Nite' programming and haven't seen it since. It's pretty wild that shows like Friends and Full House are part of the schedule now considering most of the shows I watched as a kid on their block were in black and white.

With classic TV shows like Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy and Andy Griffith getting BD releases in recent years, does Mister Ed have a good chance of getting a BD release as well?

It's a good question and I don't understand why Shout! won't persist that (they probably don't think it'll sell well). Personally, I would love for them to release Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation shows too.

Has Shout! ever paid for an HD restoration? Not that I recall.

Usually, it is the studio that forks over for HD masters due to the cost and since they have the money to do so and can benefit from long term licensing of it out. Shout! did not release "Leave it to Beaver" on Blu-ray, Universal did.
