I'm quite interested. I am wondering whether to return my HyperX cloud which seems to be cutting out mic audio from time to time. I know cause my friends tell me when it cuts out.

Can somebody tell me if there's any UK release info?

The virtual 7.1 being as good as the Golds and a proper mic conpared to the Golds is extremely appealing to me atm.

So these plug in via 3.55mm but the picture shows a USB cable with some sort of box on it (I'm assuming mute/unmute). Is the USB just for transferring profiles? Or does it only connect to the Vita via 3.55mm and to the PS4 via USB?

It has both options – Either you can connect to the PS4 using the included USB cable (When you connect this way, then you get 7.1 surround, custom audio modes, and headset notification on screen – basically special features with PS4/PS3). Or you have the option of directly connecting the headset using the attached 3.5mm audio cable to the audio jack on the DualShock 4 controller – the headset work like any other standard headset attached to the DS4 – the mic will work just fine but you will lose all the special PS4/PS3 features such as 7.1 surround.

I don't like having a cord connected to my system.

Also, 14' of cable total.

The attached 3.5mm audio cable is approx 4 feet long. This audio cable then attaches to the USB cable (with the in-line remote control at the other end) that is approx 10 feet long. So in total the cord is approx 14 feet long.

Damn I might have to get these. I have the Gold but they tend to get hot during long sessions. These look like they breathe better.

I have HypwrXs which look like i'm going to be keeping till these drop real low down on sale. I'm interested in 7.1 but price has to be right. Don't want wireless. Battery lifes too short.
