The answer is very subjective as it depends on your skill sets and interests. But since you're here, I think trying to get a job at a movie theater like Carmikes might not be bad.

I worked at a cinema and it was sorta awful. Sure you got to watch free movies, and our cinema wasn't that busy so at times it was just sorta like a place I hung out with friends at which was fun.

On the flipside though as with pretty much all customer facing jobs, that was balanced with having to take massive amounts of abuse - "I'm going to order a huge, supersize order and then swear at you and insult you personally about the cost after!" - plus unlike say a similar sort of role in a shop, in a cinema you're fully expected to clean up sick, blood, poo, pee and God knows what else, people turn screens into a cesspit and you have about five minutes to make it fit for the next person to sit in. Plus with big movie weekends you could fully well be doing fifty, sixty hours over a weekend. The money isn't worth it.

Well considering a weekend is two days, but we can stretch that to 3, I highly doubt you'll be working 50-60 hours in a 72 hour period...

It was more like a fourteen hour shift Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then you'd get a quiet day where you'd be in for the whole day so they don't have to swap out staff when there were few customers in. So yes I exaggerated a little, but the hours were still far longer than if you worked in an office and you spent those hours running around non-stop.

I'm glad I now work in an office doing around thirty hours a week, get to sit down at a desk and get paid more for it.

Find a job that you love doing in life and you will never being doing "work" again. Follow your passions not just jobs ya know? Jobs are jobs, menial work to get you to the next goal.
