Default 25 Days Of Christmas Movies (2014)

2nd Annual 25 Days Of Christmas Movies!

First contest winners for the $5 Amazon gift card's were: jwerk and charlieray1. Stay tuned for the next contest.

Based off the success of last years 25 Days Of Christmas Movies we will be having our 2nd annual event, we will continue you this every year. Thanks for being a part of this event and enjoy.

Since this is holiday based the goal here is to watch 25 holiday/Christmas themed movies starting Dec.1st leading up to Christmas (we know holidays can be busy so watch as little or as many movies as you like). I am starting this early as well so feel free to start your holiday movies anytime and please give feedback etc on this event here.

Every time you watch a movie, make your post and give a rating and your thoughts on it. This should get everyone into the Christmas spirit and give us movie buffs ideas on movies we may not have seen. Please keep your thoughts generic and if you post spoilers, use the spoiler tags. The movies don't have to be on blu-ray.

Happy Holidays And Enjoy Everyone!!!!

New this year: I will have theme nights with prizes to give away starting in Dec. You might ask whats a theme night?....Stay tuned and be sure to have your ugly sweater ready.

Link to 25 Days Of Christmas 2013

Ratings:
- Epic Disaster; one of the worst out there
- Tad under average (2.5 would make it an average viewing)
- Above average
- Great Highly Recommended
- Masterpiece!; one of the best

yeah, there was a guy last year that kept posting films that (to me) had nothing to do with Christmas.

But it turned out they were all movies (horror, gangster, drama, action, etc) that were set during Christmas season (like Die Hard).

I'm sure they'll be plenty more this year

I agree! He didn't list one single film that any kind of warmth or Christmas spirit. Obviously he's free to watch anything he enjoys, but it kind of defeated the idea of the thread.

I'd like to see this this be more about Christmas/holiday films, rather than horror movies with a scene set at Christmas.

I do agree that Christmas spirit/ holiday sprit should be in every movie however as long as those horror movies make that poster happy then that's what counts, as strange as it sounds.

Thanks to everyone for posting and participating in this years 25 Days, I'm looking forward to this growing into a larger event.

Almost time for my annual tradition on Black Friday, putting up the tree watching Christmas Vacation, Die Hard, and Miracle on 34th Street or Its a Wonderful Life to close it out.

I think Die Hard, Elf, Bad Santa and It's a Wonderful Life are my only musts. Arthur Christmas is becoming a new addition to the 'must' list. I really want to see Bill Murray's Scrooged.

I watched both the first "Home Alone" and "Grumpy Old Men" movies, with my sister two days ago. We're both psyched for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year.
