Default 1990 Best leading actor. Who REALLY deserved oscar?

Out of these performances, what do you think is the best?

This was tough year. Never saw Reversal of Fortune.
But for me best performance was from Richard Gere for Internal Affairs. Denzel play same character and stole the fuc-ing oscar!

Seriously, why are we bringing up Denzel? He wasn't nominated this year, and if you go to the year before, it wasn't even leading actor, it was supporting. And he was ****ing fantastic in Glory.

That's easy, Ray Liotta in Goodfellas. Once again, I'm being intoxicated by the mobster programming (movies, TV shows and so on and so forth).

Ray Liotta, easy. There are some really good performances on that list, but Ray's was out-of-this-world fantastic.

It doesn't seem that difficult to understand, he's saying Gere's role was basically the same role Denzel played years later in Training Day...

Kevin Costner for me. His performance and Dances with Wolves in general are top notch. This was one of the first movies I saw that showed the indians in a good way.

It actually does but your explanation helps and Denzel didn't steal that Oscar and if he did he was making up for having it stole from him for Malcolm X.

I always thought his best was Remember the Titans.

I haven't seen My Left Foot but I can imagine DDL would give Liotta a good run for his money for best performance.

Confusing poll.
Daniel Day Lewis won Best Actor in 1990 for My Left Foot.
Jeremy Irons won Best Actor in 1991 for Reversal of Fortune.

Anyway, 1990 or 1991, both of the actors above deserved their win, especially Irons. He was amazing as Claus von Bülow and it's much more difficult to play a real person and if you know anything about the real Claus, you would know how great Irons is in the film.

Al Pacino, in The Godfather - Part III. I find it unbelievable he wasn't even nominated.

Gérard Depardieu – Cyrano de Bergerac
Danny Glover – To Sleep with Anger
Jeremy Irons – Reversal of Fortune
Ray Liotta – Goodfellas
