Default Apt. setup from Mobile ES

My living-room setup is getting to the point where I am extremely happy with it. Currently I have a Samsung UN55F6300 55" LED Smart TV, Sony STR-DH710 7.1 HD receiver, Sony Slim PS3 500GB, Sony DVP-S7700 DVD player (used as a cd player), and a Sony MDS-JE520 MD Recorder. HDMI, coax digital, and optical cables running between devices.

My speakers are: Energy C2's mains, Energy C-C1 center, Energy C-R1 side surrounds, Sony SR-15 surround backs, and Sony SA-WM40 120W sub. This is setup in an apt building, which some might say overkill, however I have only had one complaint in my 6mos of living in my place. I plan on replacing the receiver, surround backs, and sub in the coming months.

The bedroom has a Samsung UN46F6300 46" LED Smart TV, Samsung HW-FM45C soundbar with wireless sub, and a Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray player (S185 in the picture has been replaced).

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I can't help smiling from ear-to-ear when I put a movie on or PS3 games with surround sound.

I think you really meant C-R100 as your side surrounds, you have it right in your sig and I use to own the C-R100.

Very nice setup indeed

Did a switch of tv stands this past weekend from the bedroom to the living room, needed some ventilation space for the Onkyo. The bedroom stand has an adjustable center shelf which gives the receiver about 4" of space vs the 1" from the other stand. Worked out as now I can use banana plugs for the speaker terminals with the extra room in the back of the stand. Sold the MiniDisc unit as I hadn't used it in forever. Need to pick up some cable loom from Home Depot/Lowes.........

Changed a few things, sold off the PS3, replaced it with a Sony BDP-S6200. Sold the Onkyo upfiring speakers, went the ceiling/overhead route, found a mint set of Energy Take 5.1 classic speakers...... what a difference!!!

nice find on the Energy Classics. the room looks great and I'm sure the sound not only matches it, but surpasses it! having that sound literally above you, to me, adds so much to the illusion of actual height. with the surround layers in harmony it's a beautiful thing. stop by my thread and check out how I mounted my ceiling heights. I'm 7.1.4 and so proud of it and of how it sounds. I'm sure you know the feeling too!

Went and ordered the Samsung 4K UHD player, seeing how more Atmos titles are coming on UHD than HD, and the 4K tv prices are coming down......it's time for me to get ready to make the jump....

Finally getting a 4K display, went with Samsung SUHD 65" 8000 series. Thin bezel, 10 bit display, and stunning picture..........

Cleaned up the wiring behind the front mains and sub with wiremold raceway tracks, much cleaner now. I think I'm at a point where I am actually done with my home theater.
