Default FOX's "Scream Queens" (Season 2)

http://dailydead.com/jamie-lee-curti...ens-tv-series/

Quote:
As Laurie Strode in four Halloween films, Jamie Lee Curtis was an exceptional horror movie protagonist opposite the malevolent Michael Myers, while Emma Roberts gave multi-dimensional turns in Wes Craven’s Scream 4 and Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story. It’s just been revealed that both actresses are set to take on lead roles in Murphy’s Scream Queens horror-comedy series on Fox.

Deadline reports that Curtis and Roberts are lined up for leading roles in the Scream Queens TV show. An anthology series that is scheduled to premiere its 15-episode season in the fall of 2015, Scream Queens centers on a college campus turned upside down by a string of murders.

In October, Murphy revealed that, like American Horror Story, Scream Queens will follow a new storyline with a fresh setting each season. He also mentioned that every season will focus on two female lead roles, so it’s likely that Curtis and Roberts will play those characters in the show’s first season.

Scream Queens is a collaboration between Murphy and fellow Glee creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. We’ll keep Daily Dead readers updated on further announcements regarding Scream Queens. In case you missed it, here’s the official press release from when the series was announced (via Yahoo):

“LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Fox has ordered anthology series “Scream Queens” from the creator of ‘Glee” and “American Horror Story,” the U.S. television network said on Monday, as broadcast TV takes a cue from a format largely successful on cable networks.

The first 15-episode season of the comedy-horror series from Ryan Murphy will feature a college campus rocked by several murders.

The series is scheduled to begin production next spring and premiere in the fall of 2015, the Twenty-First Century Fox Inc-owned broadcaster said.

The show will reunite Murphy with “Glee” creators Brad Falchuk, who is also a co-creator of “American Horror Story,” and Ian Brennan.

Like Emmy-winning anthologies “American Horror Story” and “Fargo” on Fox cable network FX, “Scream Queens” will feature new settings and story lines each season.

Murphy said he plans each season of the series to revolve around two female lead characters.

“We loved every element of the pitch for this show – the genre-bending concept, which blends true horror with big comedic moments; the diverse and unforgettable characters,” Dana Walden and Gary Newman, co-chief executives of Fox’s TV arm, said in a statement.

Fox has been aggressively picking up limited-run series like current crime drama “Gracepoint” and counter-terror thriller “24,” which was brought back this year in a limited run. The network believes the short-run series, which require less commitment than a traditional 24-episode season series, are better attuned to today’s on-demand viewing habits and easier to market.”

This could be better than AHS, they will tone down the stupid sexual stuff and the Slasher theme will be great

Emma Roberts is not a name that jumps out to me when I think of "scream queen." But put Jamie Lee Curtis in a horror television series called Scream Queen, and I'll definitely be there to watch it. Fox has done well with the horror genre with Sleepy Hollow, so I'm looking forward to this.

Loving this show and especially because of the beautiful Emma Roberts. Every episode is a blast to watch and tons of hilarious moments, too.

Second favourite character: Chad
Character that I loathe: The Asian girl (her way of thinking just annoys me the hell out)

Does anyone know how many episodes this will be? The original order said 15, but there's only 13 scheduled.

Should be 15. Like I said earlier, the finale is scheduled for January 19th.

The 2 hour season finale is scheduled for 12/8/15 and it is 13 episodes. http://www.thefutoncritic.com/devwat...-fox/listings/

For further evidence, episode 13 is being filmed right now and
[Show spoiler]Niecy Nash
tweeted that she was filming "the finale".

Yeah, looks like they did update it. When it was previously being asked in this thread, that was not listed on TFC.

IMDb has listed 13 episodes and makes more sense than 15 because shows nowadays either finish their season by episode 13 or 20-21.

Actually The Following had 15 episodes per season. So it does happen.

I hope we get a teaser trailer soon. I thought they might air something during the Idol finale (tonight), or maybe the Empire finale in May is more likely.
