I just bought the DE steelbook. I'll be glad to pick this up and make a comparison. All I can say is that the DE looks fantastic and even has English subs.

That release is licensed from Universal isn't it?

Hopefully the transfer used should be identical here...as long as Universal doesn't screw it up.

Don't bet on it. They'll probably come up with something even worse than what was on the DVD. Thankfully I already have the German steelbook with that art above. PQ is nice, too.

My dad took me to see this in the theater. I was 8. Even at that young age I found it engrossing.

Got it today and it is the DVD on Blu-Ray. Not restored. Better than the DVD but not by much.
