Upon watching Yojimbo, I can to realization that the composition of the main song can be interpreted as a personification of his character. And I enjoyed hearing it. Are there any song-character combinations that you find enjoyable, memorable, or one that you find reflects the personality of the hero/villian?
I can't seem to think of any at the top of my head because maybe this time of music score is a thing of the past? Actually, I am not sure if this counts but I am thinking the movie 48 hours with Eddie Murphy fits the criteria. Last edited by gotexas872; 01-07-2015 at 05:14 AM. |

Harmonica from Once Upon a Time in the West would be my favourite theme for a character and he even is named after and plays his own theme tune.

1.) "Django theme" - A theme i've always loved since the original Franco Nero "Django". I was extremely pleased the Quentin saw fit to use it in "Django Unchained".
2.) "What if?" a.k.a "Remo's theme" is somewhat of a long forgotten bit of 80's cheesy fun from Stuart Copeland (of The Police) from one of my favorites ..."Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins"... ...and just for clarification ..."In Korea door handle would not have broken!" ![]() Last edited by Red Dragon; 01-07-2015 at 12:20 AM. |

...a strangely haunting and somewhat beautiful musical piece which, if I remember correctly, was actually titled "Reagan's Theme" from that horrible film "The Exorcist II: The Heretic". Proof positive that good music can, in fact, sometimes come from bad films.
And I'd certainly be remiss if I failed to mention either the "Jaws" theme ...(if not the actual villain of the film, the shark was certainly the antagonist ...not to mention the stuff children's nightmares are made of), and Michael's theme music from John Carpenter's "Halloween". ![]() Last edited by Red Dragon; 01-07-2015 at 12:20 AM. |

Rocky wasn't a 'super hero' but he definitely has the most recognisable theme music in movies. Superman probably comes second. Does Batman even have theme music?
