Default Best Buy prominently featuring Blu-Ray in Xmas mailer

Just found a coupon set in the mailbox for BestBuy, very nifty presentation, and aside from presetnting some nice rebates for Dec. 7-10th, it prominently features a nice Sony HDTV, and right under it a Sony Blu Ray player, and the presentation accentuates that it plays Blu Ray high Def -and- upscales DVDs

With that, you get a bunch of coupons from 10 to 12% for electronics and films.

I was like - wow -, nice deals / BDS 300 at $359 or less anyone ?

Best Buy is critical to the blu-ray camp. What they push can influence a ton of people. That's why I'm always smiling when they have the POTC demo running. Its stunning, like watching reality tv.

My Best Buy seems to not be able to make up their minds. At first the only players showing were Blu, then they went to one blu and one HD for the October. Now they are back to only Blu, maybe 1 out of 3 is HD. My store is the only BB in a good 40 - 50 mile radius, and they are kind of weird at times. I have had to describe why Blu is the better choice to a friend of mine when a sales person was telling him there was no difference in HD and Blu. I have my friend convinced he wants a Blu-ray player (or PS3) now. But I always go there on Tuesdays and buy the new Blu-ray movies I want. Last week I only got two. But this Tuesday, there are about 5 coming out I want. Its going to be an expensive day. Good thing I have 25 dollars in coupons. Helps to have their credit card.
