Massive upgrade over the HVE R1 disc It is really fantastic that Criterion chose to upgrade this disc.

By the way, Martel's The Holy Girl is not out on Blu-ray yet, but the HBO disc/DVD is actually really good. You should consider picking it up and seeing the film. It is excellent. I have the first release, which is quite old, but I am fairly certain that the reissue is basically the same.

It could be because I'm looking at it from my office desk (and the monitor is not especially good, plus all the firewalls stuff) but how come the screenshots look so heavily compressed ? Almost every single one of them shows strong pixellisation. I see this for instance of the left part of the 2nd cap, on the pool water on 3rd cap and on the blanket on 4th cap.

It probably is -- there are no such pixelation issues.

It is a fantastic transfer.

It is unusual, but I thought it could also be an issue while taking the screenshots, hence my question.
