Club Nintendo shutting down this year (EU - Sept 30, US - July 1)

In favour of a new upcoming better program (as Nintendo puts it) they're going to be closing down the Club Nintendo and with that, if you have points on it do use them or else they'll be deleted completely.

Europe

Last day to register games on the Club Nintendo - April 1, 2015.
Final day to use Club Nintendo - September 30, 2015.

This totally sucks for people who have thousands of points on their accounts but hopefully Nintendo will be adding stuff worth ordering.

I bought Pushmo on the 3ds over the weekend and didn't get a coin survey for it. I also bought SMG2 on the WiiU the day it went up and never got a survey or coins for that either. I'm gold status right now but very close to Platinum.

I love how the last day to redeem codes is the day the discontinuation is announced. I have a feeling people will be rushing to redeem and break the servers all day.

I'll have to double check if there are any games I haven't registered yet. It would be nice if they gave us at least a few days between the announcement and that deadline.

I'm must 170 points shy of platinum status. I'm hoping I have enough unregistered points to get there. I may have to check with my sister (who never had a club nintendo account) to see if she has any DS, 3DS, or Wii games that she never registered, and see if I can get the codes.

A bummer. I have the Monster Hunter N3DSXL pre-ordered I just hope they put some great games on there that I can redeem.

In reading the info on Nintendo's site, it appears that we have until March 31st to register games in NA. It just states that n games released after today's date will offer / be eligable for the club points/coins.

Iwish I knew that earlier. Because of the club site being bogged down with traffic, I was fighting errors to get a few things registered. In a couple of cases, it took the code and moved me to the registration survey, but then errored and wouldnt let me complete it. The points never registered, but when I go to enter the cide again, it says that the code has been used. Then when I logged in later, those games were showing up with the option to complete the separate post-play survey, but the initial points still never registered.

I gave up trying to complete those post play surveys tonight due to the traffic. I'll try again tomorrow. It says that I have until the 27th anyway for them. The good thing is that with the points that I did manage to register correctly, I'm only 10 points away from platinum status, so those post play surveys will get me past that threshhold.

Didn't know where to put this.
I bought a Wii classic controller off amazon. Due to availability and pricing the best deal was a Japan import. Anyway, it looks like it came with a club Nintendo code but its invalid for US use. If anyone with a club.Nintendo.JP account wants the code pm me.
