![]() ![]() King Records will release Mike Leigh's Naked (1993) on Blu-ray in Japan on May 13th, 2015. As with the Peter Greenaway Blu-ray Box they are releasing the same day, this is indicated as being "<[Uncensored HD Remastered]>" ("<無修正HDリマスター版>") which should mean the full-frontal nudity in the film will not be optically censored. So far, the disc has only been listed on Amazon, and no extras are mentioned. I will update if King Records reveals more when they list the disc. |

The new BFI disc has a different aspect ratio 1.66 to the 1.85 that Criterion used.

![]() ![]() Naked has been remastered in 4K under the full supervision of cinematographer Dick Pope and approved by Mike Leigh, and is presented in 1.66:1. Scanning of the original 35mm camera negative and the magnetic print master, both kindly lent for the project by Channel Four, was carried out at the BFI National Archive's Conservation Centre. The new colour grading reproduces the film's original bleach bypass process, referring to an original 1993 release print held in the BFI's collections. The audio is presented in its original 2.0 stereo with an optional 5.1 track also included. Film inspection and comparison: Claire West (BFI) Film scanning & image QC: Alastair Macdonald, Ben Thompson (BFI) Colourist: Greg Fisher (Company 3) Special thanks to: Dick Pope and Mike Leigh Thanks to: Hannah Perkins (Company 3); Kate Robinson (Channel 4); Paul Wright (Dragon DI); Anthony Badger and Mark Bonnici (Silver Salt) |

Can someone let me know how to properly order the signed copies off of BFI's store? I assumed it be like their first pressing booklets where you just order off their main page as soon as possible, it even lists in the description regarding the signed copies.
But apparently there's a SEPARATE page for signed copies, and when I add to cart from there, it says the listed quantity isn't available... EDIT: shit ain't available no mo' me sad Last edited by Cephalopod; 12-28-2021 at 05:10 PM. |
