Since it's been known now that Lionsgate is shortchanging us on the audio aspect of rental blurays, the problem is Netflix is still charging bluray pricing on their monthly fees.
I have called and will plan to continue calling them about it since we are getting dvd audio quality for the price of bluray rentals. There's a reason why there is a price difference from DVD rentals. I'm hoping and encouraging to whoever is a blu ray rental subscription customer here to call and let them know about these overcharging. If enough voices are heard, maybe we can make a difference. Just make a call and say that we are getting DVD audio on bluray and we're paying bluray pricing. Also, how can we persuade Netflix for adjusting prices for such situations? How does a class action suit work? Thanks. |

Appreciate the negative aspect of it but what I just did was call and let them know about it as a content issue. I've made my second call. I know all they can do is submit it but if one studio is doing this, others might follow.
And to suggest to buy all bluray movies that comes out, that's a response that's not well thought of. My bluray list is not even yet completed and yes I fully support the physical media. Rentals are supporting the media too. Don't know if you know that. But the problem is not the pricing itself, it's paying for something we're not getting. All I'm asking is make the call and ask to have this information submitted. I'll keep making calls about it to see where it will go. The class action question was just a curiosity. |

you are paying for blu-ray rental movies that doesnt mean you are are entitled to the retail version of those movies, its a rental service for a reason if you were getting dvds sent to you as blu-rays then you would have a case but thats not the issue here, you should take up your problem with Lionsgate like other members have said the solution is to buy the retail version of the movie |

Getting a bluray movie is to get the HD video and lossless audio on the disc, that has been the goal since it's inception. What I'm lobbying for is to raise a voice on this and cause enough noise where it is brought up. Why would you buy a movie that you're not gonna watch later again? That's the same way with DVD back then. To suggest that again, is a poorly thought response. Did anyone ever tried calling about this issue to Netflix? I'm calling and letting Netflix as ally as addressing this issue, I'm not calling them because it's their fault for the pricing difference. |
