Default The last Blu-ray transfer of a pre-1990 film to make your jaw drop!

What was the last time you caught yourself with this kind of expression on your face when watching a beautifully restored older film on Blu-ray?

And yeah, as the title suggests, movies that came out after 1990 don't count!

Mine has got to be Quatermass and the Pit - watched it last week, and wow, the transfer is simply awesome. I quite enjoyed the movie, too - those old-school sci-fi flicks are fun to watch sometimes.
I am expecting The First Men on the Moon to be a treat as well - haven't got around to watching it yet.

So what was the last "classic" visual stunner for you? Bring 'em on!

Honestly? The recent 88 Films release of Boogeyman (or as they spell it, Bogey Man) in the UK. For a cheapo early 80s slasher, I was amazed how good the transfer was.

Jaws- Just enough grain, beautiful color, and rich detail. Not DNR-scrubbed. Really stunning. And the original mono track, too.

A low budget affair from Code Red, Messiah of Evil, looks fantastic considering the source.

Sorcerer looks great, perhaps a bit brighter than it should IMO, but that's only because that's how I was used to seeing it; dark and drab.

There are a lot of great ones, but Lawrence Of Arabia may be the best looking disc I've ever seen.
