I just read the article, and Bird does not say The Iron Giant is coming back to theaters, only that there is more flexibility these days in making it happen.

Eh. I already saw it in theaters back in 1999. Me and about 5 other people apparently. Still Vin Diesel's finest acting performance IMO.
