United Kingdom The Exorcist Complete Anthology (5 Films) - October 19th, 2015

Warner will be releasing The Exorcist Compete Anthology set on October 19th. The set should be identical to the one they released in the US last year

Let's hope for a similar price, as this can be had for about £20 importing. I've never got around to it as I've not seen it creep into a sale under the customs limit, but I would like to pick it up.

I've always wanted a definitive answer as to why Warner constantly ignore the UK for catalog titles.

Also... why do they delete their UK releases so quickly?. Marathon Man, 2010 & THX 1138 are all examples of films that were only available in the UK for a short time, but the same titles are always available to buy in other territories.

Marathon Man is Paramount, but they are equally as bad for deleting titles as are Sony. Basically aside from Dog Day Afternoon, before this release we had 0 (The Spielberg titles were available in the set last year) catalogue titles released or scheduled from the majors this year. Luckily we have so many great independent label who have taken over. Just wish Warners or Sony would license out, would make sense if they aren't releasing themselves, they'd still make money without risking it themselves.

You're right, it was Paramount.

Because Warner released Marathon Man in the US, I assumed the UK release was also theirs, as most of the Warner releases are worldwide.

The trailer for 2 is better than the film. The trailer makes it look wonderfully bonkers, which it is but nowhere near as much fun.

I've been re-watching the films.

I've finished watching 1 (theatrical cut) & 2.

1 is still a classic and to this very day seriously creeps me out.

One of the best films ever made imo.

I'd forgotten how much of a mess 2 is.

It feels so disconnected from the first film, it could easily be a standalone film.

Onto 3 tonight, then the prequels, then I'll be coming full circle by watching the extended cut of the first film.

That scene is fantastic.

SOOO tense.

It made me jump when I first saw it not knowing what to expect.

I was like: "Bloody hell!".

That's such an English reaction.

I'm planning on doing pretty much the same in November when my other half is away for a week (never been able to convince her to watch even the first one!)

Just picked this up from Zavvi with EURO code making for a decent purchase of GBP 13.49.

Wrapping (and racking) my brain around the thoughts that I had this set, I remember opening it and thinking how cheap it felt. I have a bookcase where my box sets go and it should be next to my Digibooks of the original.

I guess it might have been a different WB set.

Just a short while ago I was convinced I had the BD set as well, turns out it was just the DVD counterpart. Momentarily contemplating searching out the BD set but looks to cost more than I was willing to pay. Also, I think/hope chances are decent WB will give it a UHD anthology set in due time so I'll wait it out.

No, chances are none right now. WB no longer have the rights to III/Legion, Dominion or Beginning.

After my post I searched my emails for Anthology and I found the order from The Entertainment Store, 15 Jun 2018 at 10:24 PM, The Exorcist - Complete Anthology [2015] [Blu-ray], Unit price £7.99.

No idea where it is!
