Dirty Work, the comedy directed by Bob Saget, and starring Norm MacDonald and many others will finally be released on Blu-ray courtesy of Olive Films

Dirty Work features a who's-who of comic performers in cameos including Chris Farley, Don Rickles, John Goodman, Gary Coleman and David Koechner.

Comedian Bob Saget (TV's Full House) makes his feature film directorial debut with Dirty Work starring Saturday Night Live alums Norm MacDonald, Chevy Chase and Adam Sandler.

Best friends Mitch (Norm MacDonald, Billy Madison) and Sam (Artie Lange, Elf) have come up with a business that can't fail – a "revenge" service that'll take on the Dirty Work of "getting even," handling those unpleasant things in life that people can't or won't take care of on their own. But when the guys butt heads with shady property developer Travis Cole (Christopher McDonald, Thelma & Louise), they may have met their match. Or have they? This time revenge will not only be sweet, but hilarious, when the Dirty Work really begins.

Dirty Work is written for the screen by Frank Sebastiano (Beer League), Norm MacDonald (TV's Norm) and Fred Wolf (Grown Ups).

I'm not sure if I'll actually purchase Dirty Work on Blu-ray, but I've seen the movie a few times, and I always laugh.

I also had a mad crush on Traylor Howard back in the day.

Whoever has the disc, can you confirm if the soundtrack is 5.1 or 2.0? I see conflicting information around.

Yes, I saw that but I've also seen other sites saying 2.0 stereo, and since the packaging doesn't state, I thought a person with the disc could confirm.

RIP Norm:

Norm Macdonald, whose laconic delivery of sharp and incisive observations made him one of Saturday Night Live‘s most influential and beloved cast members, died today after a nine-year private battle with cancer. He was 61.

Macdonald’s death was announced to Deadline by his management firm Brillstein Entertainment. The comedian’s longtime producing partner and friend Lori Jo Hoekstra, who was with him at the time of his death this morning, said Macdonald had been battling cancer for nearly a decade but was determined to keep his health struggles private, away from family, friends and fans.

“He was most proud of his comedy,” Hoekstra said. “He never wanted the diagnosis to affect the way the audience or any of his loved ones saw him. Norm was a pure comic. He once wrote that ‘a joke should catch someone by surprise, it should never pander.’ He certainly never pandered. Norm will be missed terribly.”

Was coming here to share this. This is one of the few celebrity deaths that actually hit me emotionally. Sometimes there is just nothing better than going down that Norm rabbit hole on YouTube.
