Thumbs up $1.99 DVDs at Ollie's Bargain Outlet

(Credit to Cinema Sickness for first posting about this deal!)

Ollie's Bargain Outlet currently has a display of $1.99 DVDs, and it is amazing (pics spoiled below). We're not talking about the crappy, low-budget fodder you find at Dollar Tree...there are some great titles. Most are by studios like IFC or MPI/Dark Sky...

I asked the manager before taking these pics, and she said "Go for it!"

[Show spoiler]

I picked up the following for a total of $31.64 (I think they forgot to scan one of them):

PS: After debating in the car, I went back in to grab this...I figured I wouldn't pay the money for the BD:

darn, a few states away from where I live. If Ollie's was in So. Calif., I would be standing at the front door waiting for them to open.

If you're interested in "Eaten Alive" (and why wouldn't you be), make sure to get the 2-Disc Special Edition...They had both editions for the same $1.99 price:

300+ mi. away!

If I get in the car now, think I can make it by tomorrow before all the good ones are picked off?

Seriously though, this looks awesome and I wish I had a store close by!

Edit: I picked up Knife Fight (one of the pictured movies) for $3 from Family Dollar recently. No idea how it is though. Thinking about it, I already have a deep case of buyer's remorse.

Those look exactly like what I would expect to find for 1.99 at Ollie's.

If someone finds Manborg for $1.99, you buy it. I bought it for $10 at Best Buy and don't regret it.

During the credits for Manborg is a trailer for a fake movie called Bio-Cop. That alone is worth the $1.99.

i'm going to have to check one out.

we just got one in orlando grand opening may 26th.

while only 18--19 miles ago its a 40 min drive due to orlando traffic might be easier taking the toll road might even save money over wasted gas.

i can't wait to see what they may have.

I just got my weekly Ollie's ad. Nothing new in it about movies, but this might be interesting to several members of the forum...

I was in the area, and decided to stop by my local Ollie's for the first time in quite a while. The double-decker bins shown in the OP were gone, and everything was incorporated into the NEW/regular DVD section near the books. As I was flipping through, I found (what I think are) some amazing things...

[Show spoiler]

- A Haunting: The Television Series (Seasons 1-6): I paid $19.96 for this in November 2014...I couldn't pass up another copy to re-gift at $9.99.

- Poltergeist: The Legacy (Season 1): Yes, I knew it was $4 at Amazon, so not really a deal, but it was in front of my face and in great condition at $3.99! (i.e. no shipping fiascos here!)

- Dungeons & Dragons The Animated Series: Beginnings: $0.99.

They also had a bunch of DVD season sets ranging from $3.99-$6.99, but the following for $6.99 each made my jaw drop:

[Show spoiler]

I already own them all and a couple others (Time Travel & Alternate Realities), but those were the only four I saw in the store. So, if you want/need any of them...

[Show spoiler]

PS: How could anyone resist a big bag of chocolate fudge Combos?!

PPS: They did still have a bunch of the $1.99 DVDs, but I already picked through them all, so nothing new there.

That D&D set is looking really familiar. I wonder if I grabbed it from a previous DT sale?
[Show spoiler]Then again, it's possible I ignored it.
I'll have to check later.

You can't go wrong with any TV series at those prices.

Those Combos look delightful too. You'll have to let us know.

Those Star Trek "Collective" sets go from $15-$25 at Amazon, so yeah, $7 each is a steal!

Ooh,...I have one of these stores a mile from me and have been looking for an excuse to drop in and look around

Fair warning on those combos. They were giving these away at a school event a month ago and my teenage nephew, who will eat almost anything, couldn't even stand the taste of them for a sec. He put it in his mouth, chewed once and headed straight to the trash to spit it out. The look on his face the whole time was classic

Sounds like his palette is still maturing, cause these are delicious!

There's nothing like pretzel-covered chocolate!

Honestly, I can't lie: those don't look appetizing from the pic. But how do they taste?
