I can't vote because I'm not a registered member, but when I last checked Blu was winning with about 64% (only like 30 votes, though.)

I have to say I've always had a big distaste for Mr. Bay. Somewhat due to his cornball movies, but mostly because of his production studio re-making classic horror films. He puts these 3rd rate directors and writers on the jobs that crank out these awful, campy, spoofy, pseudo-modern interpretations. I am a big horror fan and have been for 20+ years, and my dislike for him reached an all-time high when I found out he was heading up a remake of 'Friday the 13th.'

However, I must say, his recent avid support for Blu has really changed my mind. I really wish he would stop with all the re-makes, but I actually kinda like how he has been one of the few with the cajones to speak out and set folks in their place.

+1 Mr. Bay, +1.

Well i do not know about HD DVD, but I do know that many older BD player can not play the newer movies, at least not the extras. Profile 1.1. and 2.0 will play the movies but not the extras on older players, and in some cases the players might not be able to play the discs either. But this is not a real issue in the long run since the requirement is that all new ones support 1.1 now, and the best selling player already does. Only early adopters that can probably afford a new machine will be unable to watch the extras until they buy a new machine. Any consumer new to the market should not have to worry as long as they get a new model.

I wonder how many early adopters of non-PS3, non 1.1 or later profile Blu-Ray players there really are. Although they are out there (and probably a member of this forum), I bet their numbers pale in comparison to PS3 owners.
