Default Big box from Warner today/Harry Potter

Just like someone posted before, I got a box from Warner today that could fit at least 50 BD's in it and all it had was Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. It was shipped separate from the other 4 which should come tomorrow.

I'm sure others have posted, but the PQ on this Potter movie is a solid 5/5. The depth and color are outstanding. I would say it is almost as good, or even as good as the Pirates BD's. Great job Warner (at least on this one)!

Warner's got cardboard boxes to burn....

No scrimping on the cardboard from them!

My delivery of Potter 1-5 were rescheduled by UPS and will be at my door tomorrow, but it appears that they were all shipped together.

Just got home and my Harry Potter boxed set was here.

I was going to post some pics but my camera battery died after I took the pics. Anyway the only thing I don't like so far is the fact the first two movies and bonus disc come in a half or disc sized "book" where the others including the dvd game come in a full size "book" I would have much rather the films be in the same sized case or "book" and the rest could have been in the smaller cases. Going to watch number one right now.

I got my 1-4 today. Watched the 1st one and wasn't impressed with the PQ, hopefully it gets better as they go along, certainly glad to hear the PQ on the 5th one is excellent.

And yeah, I too was wonder WTH was in the large box until I saw WHV on the label.

hmmm, i used the free shipping from amazon (shipping facility near my house onlytakes 2 days anyways ) I placed my order literally 2 hours ago, against my better judgement since im broke as crap but i might win my fantasy fotball league an dget $300.....annnnnnyywhooooo......my order is already being prepared to ship, which is strange for amazon for me with the super saver shipping.....i may have these by thursday for free shipping.......

Havent seen any of them, but i figured id enjoy them since i love LoTR, enjoyed Golden Compass and love HHGTTG might as well show WB that even a brok college kid will buy himself some BD's for his shiny PS3

I just got my box set. A little disappointed. I think I would have preferred the indivdual packaging now. There is no way to take one movie without taking the entire set. Each movie is in a "notebook" sleeve. It is not very sturdy or something I would lend to a friend or family member. There is an extra "DVD" disc. A DVD?! Come on Warner.

Take the plastic top piece off and remove the ribbon. The ribbon will fit around all 5 movies and 2 blu cases

The cases are as sturdy as a hardback book, but just toss it in a spare keepcase if you're worried about lending it out

The game was done on DVD because doing it on HD probably would have added $10 to the SRP easily due to the complexity and expense of authoring. For something that's kind-of a throwaway wasn't worth it.

I think what really bothers me is the different sizes of the cases. The first two movies are jewel case sized. While the others are almost normal DVD case sized. Just feels clumsy. A very nice set, just put together a bit odd.

Mine was delivered via UPS Next Day Air yesterday, and my box was the same exact size at the HP set. Plus it seems to look like a box made specifically for the set for when it ships to retail, if they do ship them individually, instead of multiples in a bigger box. Plus on the outside of the shipping box had the UPC of the Limited Edition set.

I wish someone would please give me their impressions of the video quality of the first 4 movies. I bought the box set today but if the video quality isn't that good I'll take it back.

The DVDs are indeed supposed to be DVDs, I'm pretty certain. As far as the return of the Phoenix HD-DVD, I have no idea how you should address that---email whvcustserv@emsi.echomail.com and ask, I guess.

And if you live in the US, Blade Runner isn't due out until next week.
