The Mario experience of your dreams has arrived and is bursting with creativity... including yours! It’s easy enough to create your own levels with the Wii U GamePad controller that it may feel like you’re simply sketching out your ideas on paper, but you can now bring enemies and objects into a playable course in ways you could only dream of before. What was impossible in traditional Mario games is now impossibly fun, so let your imagination run wild!

  • Touch control, instant editing and a robust online ranking and search system makes creating, playing and sharing a seamless process.
  • Switch between four distinct themes, each with different art styles and features: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U.

I can't believe there wasn't a dedicated thread for this game.

I will be picking this up on Friday, just two more days. It sounds like I will have to play with the internal clock on my Wii U to get everything unlocked faster.

There wasn't for most upcoming WiiU games so I always talked about them in the main thread.

Aye see.

Am more interested in Nintendo & user levels. With SMB 2 or 3, can users use a slot machine (SMS 2) after a level or create a bunch of levels in SMB 3 & have a Mario select level, prize, castles etc.. Or will these be stripped from the game & you just play random levels?

I'm a little confused. I see several variants of this game available.

Some come in just the regular case with shrink wrap. Some come in box just big enough for the case, some come with an amiibo.

Anyone have a breakdown of all the variants?

As far as I know the US only got the cardboard box with art book edition. The U.K. got an edition with the 8-bit Amiibo and the art book version the US got. Japan got the art book version as well but their box looks like a Famicom release.

There's also a Walmrt exclusive system bundle in the US that's comes with the 16 bit Mario Amiibo according to their listing.

All you have to do in the course world is click on your avatar in the corner, go to your uploaded courses, and check the codes for them.

I was actually able to do it by going to the level that you put the code up for earlier, clicking on your avatar/mii, and checking out your other levels. Here are all of the codes:

I've kind of got this urge now to recreate as much of SMB2 as I can in SMB3 form. I haven't fully started another "actual" level yet, but I did just start messing around in a single "throw away" level to come up with ideas to kind of replicate or pay homage to the boss battles from SMB2. Some come closer than others, but I'm liking what I came up with. The catch-22 is that even if I create the levels, I won't be able to upload them all unless more people give stars to the ones already uploaded.

SMB2 is awesome, underrated IMO. Any luck with those boss battles? Bosses are def a weak link in my levels, can't quite figure em out.

Actually I see a lot of people doing things in their levels, and some of them I can't figure out how to do myself hah, even some simple things like making a piranha plant shoot fire. I thought it would just be a matter of dragging the flower onto him like you can a mushroom but that doesn't work...

I think I might be missing something here, this game is really dumb. All I get to do is play other people's stupid courses that are either super difficult or have me do nothing and just go to the course on autopilot. This is so stupid. I missing something?

This is all the game is?

Have you tried making your own levels yet? If not, I'd say you are missing something.

I do agree with you on the autopilot levels. Those drive me nuts.

I have not yet tried making my own levels. I'll try it but I really don't have an interest in creating levels....I have an interest in playing them...
