Default Justice League Action (Cartoon Network)

Quote:
Site News: New “Justice League” Animated Series Confirmed

Taking a break from our regular site updates, The World’s Finest has an update on an upcoming animated project based on DC Comics characters. When asked about a possible upcoming new animated Justice League series, a representative for Cartoon Network Canada told The World’s Finest the following:

Animated shows tend to premiere on Cartoon Network Canada within the same rough time-frame as its U.S. counterpart, though usually after, so it’s safe to assume that we’ll be seeing a new Justice League animated series – likely the much-buzzed about and allegedly titled Justice League Action – no later than Fall 2016. This response is another confirmation, this time from a network, that a new Justice League series is on the way.

It will be in traditional animation with classic Bruce Timm designs.

But they will air a few episodes, then have 6 months off... then air more new episodes in a different timeslot on a different day... they abruptly after 6 months it will just not be on one day with no fanfare.

Or basically, the normal Cartoon Network schedule

Conroy, Hamill Return for "Justice League Action" on Cartoon Network

After months of reports and speculation, Cartoon Network has officially announced its new Justice League animated series. Titled "Justice League Action," the show, like the network's fellow DC Comics-based series "Teen Titans Go!," will run in installments of 11-minute episodes. Notably, the show features the return of both Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman and Mark Hamill as the voice of The Joker, roles they made famous in '90s classic "Batman: The Animated Series."

Here's the official description of the series, which doesn't yet have a premiere date:

Quote:
"Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge.
James Woods as Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold are also announced for the voice cast. Both have prior experience with DC characters; Woods voiced Owlman in 2010's "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths" feature, and Bader starred as Batman for three seasons of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold."

The announcement is accompanied by the first poster for the series, featuring the latest animated takes on DC icons Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman -- who all appear in March's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" live-action film -- along with black-and-white sketches of Hawkman, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Shazam, The Flash, Blue Beetle, Plastic Man and more in the background; plus a logo clearly inspired by the team's classic comics.

There's been rumblings online of a new Justice League cartoon from Cartoon Network since last year, including a photo surfacing on Reddit showing early promotional art, but today's news marks the first official announcement. A prior "Justice League" series ran on Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2004.

Warner Bros. Animation President Sam Register is executive producer of "Justice League Action," with DC-based animation vets Butch Lukic, Alan Burnett and Jim Krieg all on board as producers.

I want to get excited about this but why should I if it'll only last 15 mins? (per TVLine)

Enjoy!

Looks like a great show for younger audiences who this is clearly geared towards. There needs to be kid friendly content made if there is actually going to be future young fans, and I think this will do well in that sense.

Just hope we also get Young Justice S3!

Although it looks like they are reaching out to the kiddies I'm still looking forward to the show.

I saw in the teaser Grundy fighting Swamp Thing so I'm at least watching until that episode. To me it felt like the Batman Unlimited movies (good but clearly aimed at young ones) so I don't know if I'll be watching this

Unlike DCAU Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, this one actually seems to be aimed at little kids, so I don't think I'm checking it out, and I also don't exactly like the design, although it's interesting to see that Kevin Conroy is reprising his Batman voice.

Odd its out a month after the UK premiere next week. Though they are airing 4 episodes at once which should just catch up with uk release assuming they do 1 episode a week in UK.

UK aired 3 episodes already. Not sure if they will keep airing them or now just sit on it until US catches up.

The first episode (I believe it was 4 episodes wrapped in this) was pretty good.

This was better than expected, although the humor falls flat more often than not.

I want to watch this but Cartoon Network has already given it the timeslot of Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. it makes me feel like WB forced CN into putting this on and they are trying to cancel it sooner than later
I watched the premiere, it was good (not great) but I want to watch because of the characters I'm seeing for the first time ever in animated form and Conroy and Hamill are in it
