Default I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu. (Sequel to the 1978 Original.)

37 years after the 1978 classic, the original Director Meir Zarchi has quietly made a sequel of his own, and has reunited with actress Camille Keaton (Jennifer Hills) this is the only film that shares characters, and continuity with the original film.

The story follows survivor Jennifer Hills as she has just wrote a book about her ordeal, and of the controversial trial in which she was accused of taking the law into her own hands, and killing her assailants, oh and the relatives of the four rapists are furious that she was found not guilty and decide to get revenge.

The film is currently in post-production.

Sounds, in a way, similar to Taken 2, in which the family of the guys that took Mills' daughter in 1, going for revenge on him and his family.

Could be interesting if they seriously examine the morality of the revenge killings. I hated the first movie because it felt so mean-spirited and cruel.

That's what made Ms. 45 such a good movie for the genre. It didn't glorify the revenge killings, and Zoe Lund is basically the villain by the end of the movie.

This sequel sounds intriguing, but sequels to cult movies from the 70s and 80s made 30+ years later don't have the best track record.

I have a hard time buying that these cruel rapists were such beloved family men offscreen that anyone would try to avenge them, especially 30+ years later.

At least a sequel subtitled "Deja Vu" is being honest.

I like and dislike the original. I like that it had the nerve to do what it did but also dislike it cuz it's so bad at times. Keaton was pretty good in it when it wasn't bad. She had a thing about her.

Surely this has been cancelled or put back to next year now? There is absolutely no news for the past several months. It’s mid August, so I would have expected a trailer and solid info by now.

Feels like this film's in post-production for centuries.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking while reading the reviews for Revenge, which sounds like a superior revenge film. That’s what jogged my memory with this film.

It's too bad if this is cancelled/pushed back/whatever. I was "looking forward" to this. It sounded interesting. Sure, the original is no masterpiece; but it has its moments. I would have liked to have seen where they went with it.

Hmm.

Even if it’s straight to DVD and bluray, I would expect more by now.

This was freaking horrible. Oh man was it bad. The constantly bad acting and screaming. The first was no great cinema but this was really, really bad. Thought I should warn ya all.
