It actually looks like it's going to be quite a blast, not sure if I will catch it in theatres though since I'm still trying to get loaded for the bear that is B v S in about 1 month.

Default Well worth seeing

Just saw this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The 80's synthesizer sound track is really awesome, man I love the 80's and the style of music from this decade.

I'd recommend taking the family out to see this!

If you're like me you'll leave the theatre with a smile on your face.

Saw this yesterday and enjoyed it. Its your typical underdog story where everyone doesn't believe in Eddie but he continues pushing forward anyways.
For me the highlight was Taron, he's really shaping up to be a very special and exciting actor to watch for this generation. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as Bond down the road . Not that this movie is any indication of that, but I can't wait to see what he does in the future.
Movie 3/5
Taron 4.5/5

Nah, Egerton is already spoofing Bond in the Kingsman series(assuming that sequel goes forward as planned). Let him stick with that. Plus he's too short to play Bond. Even Craig's taller than him.

As for Eddie the Eagle, I saw it a few weeks ago and liked it. It's your typical underdog story that's supposedly based on real events but almost entirely fictionalized. I dug the 80's-inspired synth score and Egerton and Jackman were both solid in their roles. Aside from the Bo Derek scene, it's fine for kids. That's probably the only reason it's even rated PG-13(well, that and the sauna scene I suppose).

Won't this film have a really depressing ending where Eddie the Eagle fails to win anything?

Didn't care for this much. I found Taron Egerton's lead performance to be exceptionally twitchy and affected. Maybe that's what the guy was like in real life, but I found it annoying as hell in the movie.

A great feel good movie. The guy was probably as athletically talented as you or me, but he made it to the Olympics through sheer will.

And came in dead last in his category. Way to live the dream.
