Default Any Little Rascals/Our Gang collectors on here?

Love the our gang comedies! The silents are starting to be available a lot easier which is good, some are considered lost however. I'm a huge Froggy Laughlin fan!
I doubt these will make it to bluray If they did I would say the talkies might

It is a shame these will probably never make it to blu-ray. I thought they were a lot more popular than they are. That goes for The Three Stooges and Shirley Temple too.

Well at least The Little Rascals were given a modern film.
If these old shows dont stay in the public eye, the popularity(1922-40s) is bound to fade.

I watched them as a kid in syndication in the 70's/80's. They had home releases during the VHS, DVD era, but not much public awareness (re-runs) by the mid 90's.

And w/ todays oversensitive PC, some of the imagery is hard to digest for newer generations.

FYI: The best DVD releases of the early MGM talkie two reelers were the seven individual volumes from RHI/VIVENDI, not the multiple disc box set which had issues with edited shorts. Of course, the only way to get the bonus disc with extras was to buy the box set. Of the individual volumes, volume 6 is harder to find these days and consequently pricier.

Germany released a nice two disc set of the MGM silent two reelers as well as the talkies, but Pal speed up affects the silents a little less. As for the earlier pre-MGM Hal Roach silents, there are some public domain sets, but I'm not sure which is the best. A friend on another forum linked me to some DVD-R sets that are supposed to be good quality, but it's over a hundred bucks for all the volumes. Too much for me.

I have all the talkies. And pretty much most of the silents. I think these are great and some of them became really famous. Alfalfa was in Its A Wonderful Life he was the one that opened the pool and everyone tell in

All the RHI/Vivendi dvds are in the 8 dvd collection now . It does not say anything on the box but that's how there being released now I got mine from Walmart for $8 , Now it's back up to $40 .

Just wondering why so many pop and cracks on "Free Wheeling" at the start of the episdoe ?

Most of the shorts look amazing ,Much better then those cabin fever dvds that were raved upon .

I would love for these to show up on bluray but I'm not expecting it at all. There are silents of these that are considered lost. The silents are great. Anyways, glad to see there is fans out there of these! Love the rascals as with stooges!
