1) EXORCIST III.
Not even close. An absurd abomination of a mix, throwing discrete audio information all into the center channel and pumping up the LFE. To be fair, the mix went bad when it first released on DVD, but it's something that needs to be corrected if/when it's ever reissued. To hear how awful the mix truly is, try one of the foreign tracks which actually have the proper stereo mix with audio coming out from left/right/surround. 2) HOOSIERS This was another 5.1 travesty, with tinny dialogue. The good news is the 2nd Blu-Ray has the original 4.0 stereo track, and it's much more natural, fuller sounding than the bad 5.1 mix. 3) MY SCIENCE PROJECT Mono. 'Nuff said! Without question:
![]() It's not the BD's fault, it's the production and not looping (maybe just the worst looping ever?) or doing anything to fix the original sound which has nasty in and out sounds. Literally ever time the shot changes, so does the sound. |

![]() ![]() Businessman is not amongst the best telugu films available on blu-ray. I only bought this disc since I'm a Kajal Agarwal fan and I really liked the acting of Mahesh Babu in "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu". Video : disappointing with weak black levels. Also => during two songs body parts of dancers are censored. (blurred out) This censorship appears random (to my european eyes) => one moment the cleavage and legs of a dancer are shown uncensored. In the next shot, all of a sudden, they are shown blurred. Audio : really disappoints. The LPCM 5.1 audio track is faulty => the sound of the center channel (dialogues) is re-directed to the right front channel. This makes the LPCM 5.1 track impossible to enjoy. (0/5) The only way to enjoy the movie is by using the lossy DD 5.1 audio track. (3/5) (This track sounds OK for DD 5.1) So, I can only recommend this disc to Mahesh Babu & Kajal Agarwal fans who are willing to deal with disappointing audio and video quality and weird censorship issues. |

I was definitely disappointed when I listened to the blu-ray, it seems like more of a source problem than an encoding one though. If I recall not only does it lack fidelity, but there's also a cassette tape like white noise hiss?

Cheech and Chong's Corscian Brothers- Dolby Stereo mix presented in MONO on Blu-Ray. A shame since the picture quality was excellent.
Camp Nowhere was also mistakenly in mono. Don't know if they fixed it for the double-feature disc with Ernest Goes To Camp on it. Did they mess up My Science Project the same way? Would be helpful if those posting their "worsts" would explain why. |
