Default What is your Holy Grail vinyl?

What is that one vinyl that you consider to be like finding the Holy Grail and you so desperately want in your collection?

For me it's
Kate Bush - This Woman's Work anthology set

Goes for 1,000 dollars on Ebay

Right now it would probably be "The Latest" by Cheap Trick. It typically sells for $100-150, however I always seem to miss it when it comes up for sale.

I think I own or have owned every LP I ever wanted. I am drawn to some of the new releases and I am looking forward to THE FORCE AWAKENS release and the STAR WARS gold vinyl edition. Sometimes when I come across an album in my local used store and play it back I am surprised how much I love it and where was I back then. My recent pickup of Dave Mason"s self titled Dave Mason LP circa 1974 is one of those. The only lp over the last few years I guess I had to have was the original limited edition and numbered red vinyl release of BLADE RUNNER.

I finally was able to score a copy on ebay a couple months ago. Now it would probably be a first pressing of KISS's debut album or a copy of "Cherry Pie" by Warrant.

My holy grail is the Michael Jackson HIStory set. I remember seeing it in Tower Records when it came out and I regret not buying it!

Even though I haven't played any vinyl in a long time, I would ahve to say my Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti album.

This is a great set. I picked mine up from the local Best Buy with a gift card...ended up only paying 10 bucks.

I don't consider my Fight Club soundtrack my "Holy Grail" vinyl, but it is the most I paid for a record and its OOP. I bought it Used on ebay two years ago, imported from Germany for $150. It plays fine, no skips or pops.

I recently picked up the green vinyl edition (a supermarket exclusive at the time, bizarrely) and it totally blew away my cynicism regarding new remasters. This is the best Aqualung I have ever heard - it sounds like it was recorded yesterday! The package is lush too - I love the booklet.

I would have to say that the Bad Religion box set is my holy grail. I wanted this set even before I got into vinyl. I finally got it yesterday!!!

I'd love to buy most if not all the Amon Amarth albums I could get my hand on but unfortunately they aren't in stock at the moment on Amazon, I wish there was a definitive time when they do that.

An original pressing of The Stone Roses - Garage Flower is what I am really after.

I could easily get one off of ebay or discogs in the $100 price range but none of those are in that great of conditions. If I'm going to get it I want it to be a condition I will be proud to showcase not "good or very good"
