Default Glass Doll Films (Cult & Horror Label) Discussion Thread

Haven't seen a thread around for these guys yet and I think they deserve one.
An australian label focusing on cult & horror releases.
Just discovered them a while ago and they seem really promissing.

They've got some nice stuff out and some cool stuff coming in the future.
Highlights would be new editions for classic Ozploitation films like Dead Kids and Thirst (with awesome new cover art)

as well as classics like "Eaten Alive", "Christmas Evil" or "Class of 1984".
Future releases include "Neon Maniacs", "Pieces" and "Ghoulies"

They also got a bigcartel shop that sells internationally for reasonable prices... can't think of another other cult label that does that

Check them out!

Default Titles on JB Hi-Fi Sale 2 for $30

I picked up Dead Kids today at the sale. There are some other titles also available at the 2 for $30 sale -

Thirst
Christmas Evil
The Centerfold Girls

Unfortunately Eaten Alive and Ghoulies, the ones I really wanted, weren't part of the sale

Pretty keen to pick up Class of 1984.
Looks like a decent release with plenty of extra features but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information out there. Can anyone who owns it comment on the picture/audio quality?

I like what these guys are doing. Their extra attention to detail is refreshing for Australian Blu-ray releases by including things like collectors booklets/reversible cover art/exclusive features. I like how Umbrella Entertainment are also progressing in this regard. Interested to see what they have in store for 2017.

Quality label. I love the fact that they retain most if not all extras from overseas releases.
Booklets are quite nice as well.

It would be interesting to see how their release of THIRST compares with Synapse's release (which is pretty heavy on the yellow, color timing wise).

I got it last week, colour looks similar to the Severin caps to me.

I'm on the edge of my seat for their Neon Maniacs release; they've found a whole bunch of people from the film for their special features.

The features on the Ghoulies disc are great, though Scott Thompson looks alarmingly unwell in his interview. I didn't even recognise him at first.

I watched Glass Doll's release of 'Dead Kids' recently and thought it was great. The party dance scene was awesome and the score/music was excellent throughout the film. I like having a booklet with this release too.

PQ & AQ were good for me, there are some weird edits/cuts in the film itself but I didn't find them distracting. One thing to note is that there is no DTS HD MA track as stated on the cover and in the setup menu of the disc. There are 4 audio tracks on the disc but they are all Dolby Digital stereo (I have updated the database). I don't think you should let this be a deterrent if you are looking to pick up this release as the audio is satisfactory enough.

In other news, I noticed that 'The Survivor' is up for pre-order at JB Hi-Fi:

Has anyone picked up a copy of 'The Survivor' yet?
Got any comments on the release?
Seems to be a limited run and might be hard to find at some JB stores
