I don't think she did it, I believe very strongly that the Italian Justice system screwed her over until the very end, but I do still want to believe that she was a sex maniac.

No one was ever screwed over like Amanda was. That #&$% from Florida Casey Anthony gets acquitted when she OBVIOUSLY did it, killed her little daughter. Now don't get me wrong: Casey was rightlyly found not guilty. There was no evidence. The jury was right in that case.

What the jury did to Amanda Knox was evil. She was sent to prison, an innocent woman. There was ZERO evidence that she had committed the crime. None. None whatsoever. She was the most innocent person ever sent to prison. Her years there did real damage. She was a good girl, and she should have been treated like one. I can't believe that she was treated the way she was.

It's offensive. Screw you, Italy.

Her case was mild when compared to many others.

In the sense that she served a relatively short sentence, yes. But if you look at the entire story behind the scenes, and the intense corruption that went on -- it was a real screw-job.

Read this sometime:

Many believe the guy who got sent down is innocent. There are shades of grey in this and we will never know the truth. My personal opinion is that Knox was guilty.

Based on what?! This was a case with essentially zero evidence.

Does anyone know the current situation with this? I thought she was released, sent home to America, then called back to court cause of something but I didn't hear anything after that.

She was acquitted by the judges who went back over the case, but she's still guilty of providing false evidence to incriminate another person (as far as I can tell), whether that sentence has been served or she'll be arrested if she ever steps foot in a country that's happy to extradite to Italy I'm not sure, but it's doubtful she'll ever leave the US again.

It's just a terrible disservice to the victim when a justice system sensationalizes the lives of the accused and victim to promote themselves, instead of doing proper investigative work.

While I totally agree with you, they went WAY farther than screwing her. She should never have been imprisoned in the first place. I'm sure you agree.

I saw a Reelz special on her a couple weeks ago, I didn't catch on to this unless I missed something. The Italian Supreme Court declared her "innocent". The special made it a point to point out that the Supreme Court said in the ruling "innocent" and not "not guilty", in essence condemning the lower court judge and the investigators.

Her calunnia conviction was upheld, so as far as I can tell she's guilty of providing testimony saying someone is guilty when they know they're innocent.

I'm ready for another Netflix true-crime docu, Making a Murderer was excellent. Pretty one-sided but that's by design, I don't think a documentary NEEDS to be objective at all.

Ah okay. But from what I have seen, I am under the impression her entire signed confession was coerced under duress, so I just figured the Italian Supreme Court ruling exonerated her of everything. Either way, she's never going anywhere near Italy ever again.

Currently she is at home in Washington, as far as I know.

If I were her and they were trying to extradite me back to serve more trials, you'll have to send back my corpse because I'm not f***ing going!
