Star Wars fan film "Jakku: First Wave": Three Stormtroopers stand by the door of their troop transport, helmets off, and talk about why they joined up in the first place.

The short takes place during the first-wave assault at the Battle of Jakku. Jakku is home to "The Force Awakens" protagonist Rey. You might recall the wreckage of starships scattered around the desert planet in the 2015 movie.

THANK YOU for starting this thread so people stop making threads for individual fan films.

I have no problem with the idea of fan films, but for every 1 good one there are about 3,854 awful ones.

I love Troops. First fan-film I ever saw. I was in college about the time it started circulating and somebody in the film department came in with a VHS copy that got passed around through the classes. Everybody loved it.

Although it's clearly inspired by the 'Adventures of TinTin' intro, music-wise, I like it. Know one of the (intern) animators who worked on it. Proud of them. This could be the opening/intro to the Indiana Jones cartoon show.

I've been waiting about five years for Schoenmaker to complete that animated Indy project. Was surprised to wake up this morning and see it while scrolling Facebook on my phone. Loved it! Makes me want an Indy cartoon even more now.

Wow, I have not seen this one before. I always love watching these short horror films on youtube. They're so amazing. Plus, the fact that we have to fill in the blanks on who, what, why etc makes it more interesting!

Funny how a 45 minute fan-made movie manages to capture the look and feel of the Max Payne games a lot better than a 100 minute big-budget Hollywood blockbuster with more heart in the opening credits than all 100 minutes of the 2008 movie. Too bad Rothman never would've let this Max Payne movie be made.
