Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO® Group today announced that LEGO® Worlds, a galaxy of imaginative worlds made entirely of digital LEGO bricks where players can explore, discover and create together, will commercially launch on February 21, 2017 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and STEAM. Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, LEGO Worlds has been in STEAM Early Access since last year allowing players to provide feedback for continual improvements leading up to its official launch.

“In LEGO Worlds, players will go on an exciting journey to become a Master Builder, in an open-world made completely of LEGO-built environments,” said Jonathan Smith, Head of Production, TT Games. “Whether customizing characters, exploring in vehicles, building structures, or discovering an expansive range of items, characters and creatures throughout the worlds, there’s the freedom to create anything imaginable.”

In LEGO Worlds, players uncover hidden treasures in environments that range from fun to the fantastical, where worlds come to life with a dizzying variety of vehicles and creatures – from cowboys riding giraffes to vampires scaring Yetis, to steamrollers, racing cars and colossal digging machines. Gamers can embark on a quest to become a Master Builder by helping other LEGO characters along the way – find a sword for a king, protect a farmer from a zombie invasion, or build a home for a caveman. Environments and creations are brought to life in any way fans can imagine, either by building brick by brick, placing down enormous prebuilt LEGO structures, or by using wondrous tools that let you paint and shape the landscape. LEGO Worlds’ online multiplayer functionality allows players to explore each other’s worlds together, create together, and engage in cooperative and competitive play experiences that players can build themselves.

A separate LEGO Agents DLC pack, featuring new characters, vehicles, weapons and more from the Agents range of play materials, will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 for a limited time.

Thanks. I definitely want to see games that have lego blocks to create stuff, even if it's not that great looking with the bulky edges, more than the stuff from Traveller's Tales Lego games, that have these perfectly realistic environments and then there are the lego characters running around in them, instead of a lego created world. So this is a welcome change as far as the look and design of a lego based game.

From what I gather, yes. I've read there's no story or anything, you just screw around but this time with official LEGO bricks.

My order from Amazon was delayed, so I can't tell you anything else.

I got this Tuesday for my son. I'm gonna give it to him today when he gets home from school. I'll post over the weekend about our thoughts. Looks good though, he's been wanting this ever since it came out on PC

Forgot about this game. Amazon has Lego Worlds for 19.99 PS4 on sale.
I'm not a big minecraft fan, but this looks like fun.

This suggests there's an open world to check out.

This video shows an astronaut character building stuff. I like the style of the game, which has some smooth edges, not all blocky pixels.

We bought this on launch day as I like Lego Games, My wife LOVES Lego, and our kids love Minecraft. My kids and I have played a lot and like it. Only problem we have with it is when trying to play two player spit screen the frame rate drops severely. That is a bummer for us because the kids want to play together. Hopefully that will get better with updates.

One thing that I know lots of people didn't like about the final version is you have to do a LOT of collecting items to work your way up and unlock the larger worlds. I guess the early Steam version that has been out for long time didn't have any of that. Over all though I think it's pretty well done.

Yeah the frame rate issue in split screen is a drag. The lag is real lol. But other than that it's a solid game

Thanks for the details. I wish the whole world was open from the start. The only concern in watching the videos is the bad pop in for the distant scenery. There's no sense of breathtaking distant scenery since the farther view distance is empty. I hope they fix that. Otherwise, looks like fun. And only $29.99 or less.

I just noticed this was $20 at BB ($16 w/ gamer's club). For that price, I'll throw it into my son's Easter basket. It looks like more good mindless fun from Lego.

Too bad it was Wii U exclusive for so long. Many missed out on a completely open world GTA Lego experience.
