At the risk of ridicule, this is my new pet peeve in a lack of QC in Blu-ray (and dvd) releases, wheel track mark indention in the cover art. There were always a few releases that sporadically had them, but now it has become more and more prevalent - vertical, parallel track marks running on the right side of the front cover sleeve and less prominently on the left of the back. I don't know if its from the printer, the cutter, or the assembly line (my guess), but someone in QC is not doing their job. It is hard to pick up with my phone, but here is an image -
![]() Titles that are prime examples, People vs OJ Simpson, Batman vs Superman 3D, a lot of Mill Creek titles, and what prompted me to finally start this thread, I received my copy of Kino's Neptune Factor, and there were the track marks (I am returning it to Amazon in hopes of clean cover). I wrote Shout because I had purchased numerous copies of the Gong Show movie online, then looked at b&m Barnes and Noble, couldn't find a copy w/o the wheel marks. They ordered a new cover for me from the printer (great customer service) and mailed it to me. Can someone shed light on what the wheel marks are from, and how to make distributors and studios know someone in QC is sleeping at the wheel.
